1609. Training Retreat

Train • Move • Recover

20 to 23 November 2026 Sunshine Coast Hinterland

Train with purpose. Recover with intention.

Join Chanel + Lewis for an intimate three-night training retreat in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland.

Four days of purposeful training, movement and recovery, with chef-prepared meals, a private rainforest setting and time to properly switch off.

More than a training camp. A better kind of weekend.

Not a bootcamp. Not a yoga retreat. A considered weekend of purposeful training, movement, recovery, great food and genuine time to switch off, surrounded by people who enjoy training as much as you do.

1609. Training Retreat is a weekend built around finding the balance between training hard and knowing when to slow down. A space to move, challenge yourself, recover properly, eat well and spend time with people who care about how they feel as much as how they perform.

Across four days and three nights, we'll run, lift, move, breathe and recover together. There'll be strength and conditioning, group runs, Pilates, yoga, mobility and recovery sessions, alongside chef-prepared meals, sauna, ice baths, pool time, breathwork and a sound healing session, with plenty of space to switch off.

This retreat is for people who love to train but don't believe every weekend needs to be a grind. For those who want to get better, feel better and leave with a little more energy than they arrived with.

Meet your hosts

Chanel Korhonen + Lewis Horenko

1609. brings together our shared approach to training, movement and recovery, and the belief that performance is about more than how hard you can push.

Lewis brings a background in strength, conditioning and high performance, while Chanel's work spans Pilates, yoga, nervous system regulation and breathwork.

We each bring a different perspective, but share the same philosophy: train with purpose, move with intention and give recovery the same consideration as the work itself.

We created this retreat as an opportunity to put that philosophy into practice. A few days to challenge yourself, explore different ways of moving, recover well and connect with people who value both performance and wellbeing.

We're excited to bring the first 1609. Training Retreat to life and welcome you into the community.
