BIOMECHANICAL ANALYSIS
The details.
-
A running biomechanics analysis is a comprehensive evaluation of an individual's running mechanics and movement patterns.
It involves a detailed assessment of the athletes gait (how they move), muscle strength and joint range of motion.
The assessment includes a video gait analysis, whereby the athlete is filmed on a series of stop motion cameras from different angles to analyse their running to identify any biomechanical issues.
Such issues include: muscle weaknesses, imbalances, or dysfunctions in the runner's movement patterns that could lead to injury or impair running efficiency.
After analysis of the data, we can personalise recommendations such as strength training, movement patterning, stretching and or footwear modifications to improve the athletes biomechanics and reduce their injury risk.
