Track Training - speed Endurance
Wednesday mornings speed endurance track sessions are designed to enhance your ability to maintain high speeds over longer distances, a crucial aspect for improving overall performance in races. These sessions typically involve a combination of high-intensity intervals and longer, sustained efforts, tailored to develop both speed and endurance capabilities.
You will learn how to do a correct warm up and cool down routine, incorporating dynamic movements and the reasons why they are important. You will learn key skill acquisition and movement patterns through running, sprint drills and mini hurdles.
Followed by a workout where you will be able to implement what you’ve just learnt.
Where: Griffith University, Gold Coast Campus.
Sunset Yoga
YOGA | BREATHWORK | MEDITATION
Each class starts with pranayama (breath work) to bring awareness to the breath. Followed by a moderately paced vinyasa flow, incorporating intelligent, creative sequencing to promote the circulation of prana (energy). Ending with long holds facilitating a deep release.
The perfect way to end your week. Emerge feeling grounded, calm, rejuvenated and with clarity of mind.
This class strikes the perfect balance between stillness to cultivate a meditative, introspective state, and movement to energise the physical body. This class is suitable for beginner to advanced yogis and is recommended for anyone experiencing stress.
BYO Yoga Mat.

Track Training - Speed and Technical Development
Monday Nights Training is a technical session that will significantly benefit your running. These sessions focus on improving overall speed and performance, building muscle strength, and increasing lung capacity. Engaging in these training sessions will enhance your running efficiency (form), skills and endurance, making you more competitive and proficient in your sport.
Additionally, the structured nature of our training sessions helps runners develop discipline and consistency in their workouts, leading to better results over time. As well as becoming a better runner, our sessions offer a supportive community environment that fosters motivation, camaraderie, and skill development among participants of various ability levels.
Where: Gold Coast Athletics, located inside Pizzey Park.
